About Us

Established in 2020, Hollis Rural Trading is a family owned and operated business located in the rural town of Pittsworth in South East Queensland. We pride ourselves in providing quality products at great prices (many below RRP) and good old fashioned, personalised, and friendly service.

Prior to starting HRT, we ran a small transport company from our residence in Pittsworth. In 2019, we started carting bulk loads of hay from NSW & VIC back to QLD. Our local customers soon enquired about providing them with small bales, then hard feed for their livestock, etc.

After 12 years of Darren working away, we thought that this might be a good opportunity to start a new venture (which would also allow him to be home with myself & our three kids). We decided to take a gamble and sold some prime movers to help fund our little produce / pet food shop.

So, in mid 2020, HRT was formed in the Grevillea Street back shed. We soon realised that there was an interest and need for country clothing, boots, accessories, etc. and the shed had a bare shop front – so, again, we thought "lets give it a crack"... We started off with a couple brands and have slowly added new brands and stock since. We now have a little shop and shed full of great products!

Because of our kids' sports and school commitments, we have a few other friendly faces you might see at the shed helping us out from time to time: Anne, Barry, Mikayla, Ronny & Emma are always happy to help.

We are regularly adding new stock and we hope to continue to grow our little venture! Hope to see you in our store or send you a parcel in the mail!
